As 2024 quickly approaches, we anticipate something new, something better, a fresh start. The new year brings a refreshing new energy and excitement. But the truth is, our new year won’t be any different if we simply wish it into existence. It requires a combination of prayer, intentional reflection, and strategic planning. God already knows what He has in store for us in 2024, it’s our job to pray and ask Him for clarity and direction. Jeremiah 33:3 says “Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” This verse reminds us that the clarity and direction for the year ahead can only be attained when we spend time seeking God.
In the coming year, I challenge you to prioritize God. By making God the focal point of your life, you can trust in His promise from Matthew 6:33 that everything else will fall into place. Dedicate time daily to reading the Word, commit to at least 30 minutes of prayer, and surround yourself with an accountability partner or a group of like-minded believers. Shed the friendships, lazy habits, and dead weights that hinder your journey to becoming the woman God has called you to be.
As you engage in prayer and planning, consider these key reflection questions:
What were the highlights of the past year?
What were the challenges I faced?
What did I discover about myself in the past year?
What bad habits do I want to break in 2024?
What is my vision for myself?
What do I want to be remembered for?
What goals do I aim to achieve by the end of 2024?
In which areas of my life do I need to be more obedient to God?
What is my life’s mission statement?
How can I unleash my gifts and talents for God’s glory in 2024?
I pray that 2024 becomes a year of profound transformation, divine encounters, and unprecedented growth for you. May the Lord grant you a spirit of wisdom, revelation, and discernment. May your eyes be opened to see Him, your ears attuned to hear Him, and may He guide each step you take while protecting you along the way. Remember, we are here for you, standing in prayer alongside you.
Love always,
– Mrs. Natasha Mensah
